Tell us something about you that most people don't know about.
Ans: Oh dear! Well perhaps, I used to work as a psychiatric nurse in mental hospitals. That was in the previous life, before I became a teacher. Well, it was interesting. You certainly get to see a different side of humanity, the more disturbed side. A lot of people are afraid of insanity and mental illness. But when you work in a mental hospital, you certainly lose your fear of it.
What is one memory you'll never forget?
Ans: I think, probably, one of the very first memories I've got. I seem to be rolling down these stairs and I was very young, maybe. And when I got to the bottom, I suddenly realized that I was.. Somebody. I was me, you know? Sort of like, that first gem of ego awareness. I think up until two, you're sort of like a puppy dog. You're aware of your surroundings but you don't really have that "I am" experience. And when I had that, I think that was probably my most memorable memory.
Who is your inspiration?
Ans: Well… I've been long interested in spirituality in India. so , the only people that are really inspirational are the Satgurus. People who have totally extinguished their ego and become one with, what people might call, God. They call them Satgurus. Yeah, in terms of inspirational, it's only those people who have completely transcended their egos that are inspirational, because that's the ultimate goal of evolution. It's to lose yourself, basically. But it's a very difficult task and only very few people can achieve it. I think if we go back to the Satgurus… Go back to their original message, we can extract something meaningful.

Ans: It's something I'll have to sort of paraphrase, but it's something like: the past is beyond our control, the future is yet to happen. But the present is a gift. That's why they call it the present. So basically, it's important to live in the now, not to get distracted by past or the future, because they don't really exist. The only reality is the eternal now, which we're all trying to escape from, and which we seldom embrace.
