Tell us something about you that most people don't know about.
Ans: Some people may not know that I had hair half-way down my back. I imagine you find that to imagine now! People used to think I look like Jesus Christ. And… Ah! I used to have the most crooked teeth in the world. I had teeth coming out just below my nostril! Yeah but after I had braces I actually had pride in my teeth. Also, most people wouldn't know that I've got 2 kids that are trying to be professional sports people. I got a daughter that would like to make the Olympics as a field hockey player. And my son is today (Feb 6, 2015) playing his first game of first-class cricket. So, he's in a position where you could get a professional contract. And I was really pleased with him for taking a gamble, because he had to give up a lot of things to get there. So… long hair, ugly teeth, sporty kids… I've got the ugliest feet in the world. I've got feet that are virtually square so… I could swap them with a duck and not too many people would notice.
What are the jobs you had before becoming a teacher?
Ans: When I finished school , I was only 16. So I had actually made up my mind not to do Uni so I just went and worked for a couple of year. I worked in the public service, just as a clerk. Then I did my degree. During my degree, which I did chemical engineering, I worked as a student engineer for a lot of the time. Then… well I realized during my degree that I didn't really want to become a chemical engineer, so first two years was a waste, wasn't it? I actually sort of made up my mind that I was going to be a teacher, but I didn't think that I needed to actually start doing that just yet. So I've just done a variety of jobs. I worked as a chainman surveyor, I did hitches on drilling routes, I sold time share, I worked in a glass aluminum factory (really crappy job) and I've probably done some other jobs as well. Then I went to teachers' college and I've become a teacher. And I've only worked as a teacher since. I think the favorite part is the fact that I can say that everyday, I have done something good. Everyday, I teach, someone must have learnt something, even by accident from me. And therefore I've done some good. And that's what I don't think I could have said if I stayed as a engineer. I wouldn't be doing good the same way. Other than that though, I think I just like kids and half the time I am a kid! I enjoy teaching and it's nice.
Did you get into trouble in school?
Ans: Erh… There are some secrets you can't tell! Well, I got in trouble quite often at school. Alright, I got into trouble really often. Partly because I was quite bright and got quite bored, partly because in junior high school we were forced to do subjects that I had no interests in, and partly because I was perhaps new to the school and was trying to impress the wrong people… I don't really know why I was naughty. I was very painful to teachers, I was often distracted, rude and cheeky. I did lots of things that I shouldn't have been doing. So specific instances when I was naughty… I climbed out the window to get away from class. And the door… well, the teacher was there!

Ans: Well.. It was an old golfer, when someone said to him, that was a lucky shot. He said, you know I practiced that shot a hundred times a night, and the more I practice the luckier I get. So, I do like that one.
